Some days are bright and sunny , some are gray and gloomy. The trick is just ‘Trust the present’ moment and give your best. The Universe always knows what we need at what time. Surprising right, but its a good way if you can train your brain to think like this. There are 2 types of people one who always plans beforehand and second who takes life as it comes.
Too much planning can make leisure time also seem as work.
If we take an example of the Director Viru Sahastrabuddhe (‘Virus’) from the movie ‘3 idiots‘, he plans the whole day. Imagine how stressful it can be for a person like him to make a small adjustment in his routine. What does this mean? By planning too much , we will end up being more anxious about every step we take. There will be no fun or surprise element in any activity we do. We will end up being bored very easily. We are always playing safe with lesser risks because if plan A fails then we have plan B. And, if that fails maybe we can create more plans until Z.
Whereas, If you have faith in the ‘now’ and try your best
to take life as it comes, its more fun and there is always a surprise element. We take maybe a bit bigger risks. But, leisure time will be actual leisure time. As a result , we can give our best in all that we do.
But, I think the best is if we can mix a bit of the two extremes. This can be achieved by coming out of our fantasy world and being practical. This way we are playing a bit safe by taking smaller but calculated risks unless something very unfortunate crops up. Now, what does being practical mean? Means being well analysed, in simple words understanding where we stand if we are all by ourselves with none to help us emotionally or financially. If we can figure this out , half the battle is won.
Trust the present and give your best!
Then, we can plan out how we want to spend the rest of our life by doing the things that we enjoy doing the most . It can be only one thing or it can be multiple things. But, the most important thing here is our own joy. Are we happy?
But most people nowadays are stressed out to make only money and more money. For most of my friends or people I know, their biggest fear is to lose their ‘lifestyle/standard of living’. Now, who defines this ‘lifestyle’? Is it you or is it someone else? If its someone else then why are you living in someone else’s defined lifestyle? Is it because of the ‘respect’ that you will receive from others including your friends, colleagues, relatives or neighbors because of your lifestyle? What is the need of such kind of friends or well wishers who will change according to your ‘lifestyle’?
Imagine,
all the stress you take just for creating a mark for someone else to respect you or to have importance in the society you live in. Is your life really worth it? Think about it. Its just one life. In spiritual world we talk about life after death. No one knows what happens after death but the wise will fathom the importance of this life and this moment!! Trust the present and give your best!
Very nicely written. Example given from the infamous movie was apt. Indeed, sometimes, we need to “go with the flow” to enjoy the so called journey called LIFE
Thank you so much for your feedback and nice words of encouragement 🙂 .
